For those who are frustrated by Biden’s frequent gaffes, this article may shed some light on what is probably behind them. Yes, he is an older gentleman and people seem to focus on his age ONLY to explain his gaffes. Some have diagnosed him -without evidence - of Dementia, etc. I remember when he recently messed up at the debate re- his “ only/first AA senator” endorsement and when he was checked, he seemed pissed off and frustrated, probably at himself ….“I said first!!!” when he really said “only”.
“But, you know, I haven’t stuttered in so long that it’s
hhhhard for me to remember the specific—” He pauses. “What I do remember is the feeling.”
Biden states when asked about yet another gaffe. Other examples:
“The uh-uh-uh-uh—” His chin dipped toward his chest. “The-uh, the ability to buy into the Obamacare plan.” Biden also stumbled when trying to say immune system.
I mean we have too many examples of him stumbling over his words. This Atlantic piece is very eye-opening. Biden supporters will appreciate knowing this side of Biden and his non-supporters might ease up on constantly mocking him even if they disagree with his policies. Either way, It is an insightful piece. www.theatlantic.com/…
Despite his gaffes, Biden appears to be still in the game as evidenced by the chart below. Voters have not given up on him. Team Trump is trying hard to destroy him. It’s only a matter of time before Trump goes for the “ you stutter!!” bullying. Joe Biden is a moderate and a big chunk of Democratic voters may prefer a more liberal/younger nominee. The truth is, we might all end up defending him against attacks from the right if he ends up being the nominee.
