Dan Managan at CNBC has an article up that is just ludicrous. The article has the correct title -”John Dowd feared Trump incapable of interview with Robert Mueller” but then goes off the rails into bizarro justification. The basis for the article is a podcast by former Donald Trump lawyer, John Dowd, on “The Investigation” on ABC. I have not run over to listen as I cannot contemplate listening to baseless justifications for an incompetent liar avoiding valid legal inquiry. My favorite verbal projectile is:
Dowd said on the podcast that Trump each day reviews a "staggering" amount of information and is dealing with international issues whose signficance dwarfs the importance of the Mueller probe.
Both of those facts, Dowd argued, would put Trump at a disadvantage at being questioned in detail about items of concern to the special counsel's team.
I mean, come on, all that “executive time” obviously is spent developing complex and intricate negotiating plans with North Korea and China based on diligent research and historical analysis of the culture, politics, and global dynamics experienced by the countries and their leaders, right? /s
Nah, it because:
"In my questioning of him, or talking to him ... first question, easy, second question, easy, third question, he wasn't sure.
Dowd said. "And he doesn't like being unsure. So he'll guess. There's your trap right there."
"It's not whether he lies, or not. Everybody wants to get into this you know, this integrity business. It's not a matter of integrity, it's overload."
Come on, you are asking for integrity from a bloated grifter — where do you get off with that? Asking for integrity from the *Resident of the United States — who has the unmitigated gall to do that?
And do we really want a *resident who is so insecure as to lie rather than saying “I don’t know”? How the hell can you run a business, let alone our country, when you refuse to admit your ignorance to the point where your lawyers are worried that you will risk legal jeopardy rather than just saying “I don’t recall”. This is who you want in power? WTF?
I am sad to say there will be people who have drunk the Kool Aid who say “yeah, what that guy says. Mueller is just a bum.” I just hope there are fewer and fewer every day.
