My 19 year-son, Charlie Mirsky, was just featured in a Politico article about gun control. news.yahoo.com/…
The article is a remarkably tame piece about his efforts to get Congress to pass legislation to fund gun safety research. Frankly, I thought the article would go under everybody’s radar--nothing to inspire passion on the right or the left. Boy, was I wrong. When the article reached 500 comments, I did a tally: One neutral comment, one positive, and 498 negatives!
Most of the comments ignore the article and provide generic statements about the evils of gun control legislation. Sadly, the rest are just personal attacks on my son.
Some are juvenile: Unbeknownst to me, he apparently still wears diapers.
Some are regrettably false: He’s a paid shill for George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. (I wish!)
Some are just plain sick: “He’s a Parkland Survivor! What a shame!”
Perhaps a few of you could send some love our way and say something nice about his efforts.
