RALLY UPDATES:
- In New York City, students with parental permission to attend the September 20th climate action rally will receive an excused absence. Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted: “New York City stands with our young people. They’re our conscience. We support the 9/20 #ClimateStrike.” Protesters will assemble at Foley Square in lower Manhattan at noon and march to Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan at 1 PM. There will be a rally at Battery Park until 5 PM. Greta Thunberg will attend. Donald Trump, probably not.
- In Seattle, almost 1,000 workers at Amazon’s headquarters have pledged to walkout in support the global climate action. They are calling on Amazon to commit to zero carbon emissions by 2030, eliminating tech support services for fossil fuel companies, and no funding for climate denying lobbyists and politicians.
- Tumblr, Kickstarter, WordPress, Imgur, BitTorrent and other digital companies all pledge to support the Global Climate Strike.

Trump Sings “This Ain’t Your Land” – A Reeces Pieces Covfefe
This land is our land, this land ain’t your land
With leveled forests and methane oil wells
From the Arctic Refuge to poisoned waters,
This land was made for us not you.
As I was walking past the coal mines
All I saw were endless dollars signs.
Just below me a polluted valley
This land was made for me not you.
The Tongass Forest in Alaska
Millions of miles to exploit much faster.
Who cares if it’s a disaster,
This land was made for me not you.
Oil drilling in the Arctic
Soon will have lots of traffic.
Who cares if it makes you sick,
This land was made for me not you.
Higher profit is our motive
Deregulation is automotive.
Riches there’s a boat of
This land was made for me not you.
Global warming is just fake news
Burning Amazon is all a ruse.
Who cares if it gives you the blues,
This land was made for me not you.
This land is our land, this land ain’t your land
With leveled forests and methane oil wells
From the Arctic Refuge to poisoned waters,
This land was made for us not you.
