Democrats lose again-- badly

Oy. Noone is running the circus under the Dem tent-- check out this one for some depressing analysis:
Democrats get a wake-up call
What will it take for Democrats to get their act together?
I think a lot of pissed-off Democrat regulars speaking with one voice is the only thing that can fix this party.
There is no greater sign of trouble than voting for bad bills because you're worried it'll hurt next fall to oppose something that sounded good but was defeated. Most bills sound good but suck-- people generally forget about stuff that didn't pass. Passing crap is bad enough, but passing crap proferred by the opposition is unforgiveable.
Daschle must stop posing as a Democratic leader for no other reason than the Medicare debacle-- huge miscalculations allowed a bastardized version of the Kennedy bill to go through. Big raspberries to Teddy for thinking the Repubs would play nice with his legacy.
This is precisely why the Dean and Clark campaigns are so compelling-- they are beacons of Democratic discontent. We are fed up with not only Bush but also his enablers on the Dem side of the fence. We want to nominate someone who will not only run for President, but also give the party an undisputed leader.
What I like about Dean is the fact that his supporters are willing to compromise with each other and work to get him elected even though they all have problems here and there with his policies and/or personality. He's got Greens, ex-McCain-ers, union organizers, techies and seniors working hard for him even though they often disagree with him on things that are important to them.
However he is able to achieve this, I don't really know, but this is what the Democratic party needs-- someone who will get us to stay together and fight those cocksuckers every damn day. I don't see any other candidate with that kind of ability or tenacity and until I do I will support Howard Dean.
