Ex-POW Shoshana Johnson to launch ball in Times Sq.

Wed Dec 31, 2003 at 02:17:33 PM PDT

this is two stories in one.

you have the happy story that Shoshanna is finally getting some attention.

Johnson, who was discharged from the Army last week, told New Yorkers: "Thank you for your support of my Army, my armed forces, my fellow soldiers, who were willing to do what is necessary for our freedom, for us to sit back and enjoy such a wonderful New Year's Eve."

Johnson was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and the Prisoner of War Medal for her service in Iraq.

& then you have the story that Bloomberg is EXPLICITLEY RE-ENFORCING the myth 9-11 = Iraq/Saddam.

Shoshana Johnson, who was shot in the ankles and was held captive for 22 days, was in a war "that was started right across the street from where we are today, on 9-11," Bloomberg told a news conference at a Manhattan hotel facing the World Trade Center site.

I am very happy for Shoshanna but I am really concerned about Bloomberg feeling that its acceptable to repeat & re-enforce the 9-11 = Iraq/Saddam myth!!!
