Crude Prices Vault Above $52

Mon 5:02AM  ET - Associated Press
The price of crude vaulted above the $52 mark Monday on news that a strike in Nigeria could affect output in the world's seventh-largest oil exporter, while traders looked for signs of how this week's U.S. presidential election would affect the market...
Plus power outages affecting its' 900 000 bb/d refining capacity in Kuwait, just in time for the arrival of the [over 40's National Guard] Fresh Troops...

There were no unhedged positions over the weekend, and funnily enough the $$/Euro rate hasn't changed in a week in spite of the entirely predictable instability in Awl Prices. Are foreign Treasuries now steadying currency parities getting ready to dump dollars should - forbid the thought - matters somehow go amiss?

With Butch in Charge of Absolutely Everying, what in the world could possibly go wrong? Has someone got that photo of him on the Tarmac last Friday? It was posted on an open thread and has been haunting me, this morning.

Comments have been added to the thread on soonergrunt's diary : Bin Laden slipped through our fingers recently

I thought it was a good idea to file the much requested video text versions there.
