NewsFlash! Social In-Security

Tue Nov 09, 2004 at 11:26:30 AM PDT

Washington insiders today tipped this reporter off to the Bush Administration's answer to anticipated problems with Social Security when "too many Boomers" reach retirement age, as noted by Greenspan earlier this week.

Because they constitute too large a group for the Social Security System to cope with, Boomers will be getting a new program all to themselves. The transfer will automatically enroll all Boomers in Social In-Security as soon as they reach retirement age.

Social In-Security can never be in peril, says a Bush insider.  It turns Social Security inside out!  No need to spin gold from straw or sprinkle stardust and wish upon a star.  Simply get used to the insecurity!  There's more where that comes from!  There will never be an end to it!

In addition to enrollment in Social In-Security, Boomers will be enrolled in a new medical program as well.  Modicare will ensure they receive the minimum benefits, which can be stretched among such a huge group.  "It may not be much, but it will be more than nothing," our source revealed.

Reached at a dinner party at his home, Greenspan admitted to surprise at the new programs.  And he also suggested in the vague way he has of speaking, that "additional revenues may therefore not be necessary, if the proposed programs are funded in accord with their nomenclature, while the future lack of Boomer retirement entitlements may possibly result in a decline in consumption within the targeted group.  But this may not necessarily hamper the overall economic projections with respect to other consumers and the business environment, at least not for the foreseeable future."
