Light posting and open thread

I need to spend some significant time mucking around with this site's foundation. So, my posting will be sporadic the rest of this week as I focus more on the upcoming release of dKos 3.0.

0.1 beta. April 2002: My blogspot site. It survived all of two weeks.
1.0. May 2002: MT site
2.0. Oct 2003: Scoop site
3.0, coming soon: Scoop plus

The previous updates were pretty major. This one is more evolutionary than revolutionary.

Much of it is features that have already been implemented, like the recommended diaries stuff. The UI will change a bit, as I'm aiming for a better User Interface and navigation. Lots of behind the scenes optimization. And two brand-spanking new servers to join the site's hardware team and hopefully hold the fort through November.

Our wonderful guest posters will help pick up my slack, so expect no shortage of good stuff to talk about.
