Elect Don McDaniel - GA 97th

I've been volunteering some time doing webmaster duties for Don McDaniel, a Dean Dozen candidate for Georgia's 97th congressional district. The 97th is Republican operative Ralph Reed's home district, and the incumbent representative, Republican Brooks Coleman, has never faced a Democratic opponent.

Now, as we enter the last few weeks before the November 2 election, Don and a band of volunteers have been canvassing neighborhoods in Gwinnett County, knocking on doors and talking with voters. Don told me he has gotten a tremendous response, even from a few Republicans!

On September 10, a Progressive Mixer to Elect Don McDaniel is being held in Midtown Atlanta (details). If you are in the Atlanta area and would like to attend, please RSVP at the link above (on the linked page, there is an "RSVP" link at the upper right of the page).

Don is also trying to raise $4,000 to support his campaign efforts. If you're not located in the Atlanta area or can't make the mixer, but would like to support Don's election campaign, you may use the online form at Don's web site, electdonmcdaniel.com.
