Ask Dobson to Pray for You

Fri Jan 21, 2005 at 11:03:58 AM PDT

After the spongebob thing I decided to head on over to Focus on the Family's website.  They have a place where you can submit a prayer.
Here was my prayer, entitled "Freedom," which seemed appropriate after Bush's Renauguration Speech:

I want the promise of freedom to reach the more than half million residents of the District of Columbia who suffer under second class citizenship, bearing the tyranny of taxation without representation.  May these people be delivered from the bondage and oppression by their unelected overseers in the United States Congress.  May they achieve a real home rule, budget autonomy, legislative autonomy, and the same rights and priveleges as their fellow United States citizens in the 50 states.

Personally I'm Jewish and my wife is Hindu, so we have lots of places to send our prayers.  Figured we'd try the Christians just to cover our bases.  It really feels good.  Go ahead and submit a prayer.  Please keep it clean and a subtle.  If we fill it with childish rants and curses they will just pull the plug and all the fun will be over.

Let us know if Dobson's God does right by you.
