DemsAbroadJapan's first podcast!

Mon Nov 14, 2005 at 03:24:15 PM PDT

Whew! happy to report that the first podcast for our 1000+ Dem Party org. in Japan is done.

You can download and listen here:http://www.dajpodcast.org/

it's a little over an hour, for those long commutes. If you listen, please be both honest and kind - we want to learn how to do it better, but, honestly, we're pretty psyched to have done it at all!:-)

Chair, DAJ
DAJ newsletter, here: http://dajwebnews.blogspot.com/
DAJ Community Site here: http://www.demsjapan.jp/

stuff I'm happy about:

  1. It was the brainchild of and was done by a team from all over Japan (gotta love the internets:-)
  2. Celebrating Mark Smith's win - Lynwood, Washington City Council-!- here, he's talking prior to his win.
  3. Lots of DAJ information, in a portable format for members and non-members.

stuff we need to work on:
  1. length (shorter sections instead of one long one)
  2. Chair should remember not to record with the iPod near the laptop. that whirring sound, sigh...
  3. more background music. we have plenty of excellent musicians who'd contribute-now that we understand the process better, it'll get more audiophonically dynamic.
  4. more voices and dialog, from within the country and also from outside.

It was a learning experience, no doubt. Next one will feature our progressive vets talking about Iraq, and war, with a non-military person who wants to understand more.

oh gosh, I guess a poll is called for...
