When I look at New York from the west side of the Hudson River, it looks as if New York is sitting under a giant cloud of terrible smog all day long.
But, when I visit the EPA air quality Web site, it seems to show that the air quality is "moderate" today, at worst.
Would anyone out there have an independent way to know whether the air quality is just as mediocre as the EPA says or if it's as awful as it looks?
The grim truth is that on some days, the air in New York now looks worse than the polluted New York air shown in the movie "Soylent Green."
