Shameless Plugs for Blue friend's businesses

In Booman23's diary:

Booman asks "where the fuck are you from?"
In continuation of that theme, I think a diary that includes shameless plugs for your BLUE friends all around the nation, who have SMALL businesses, is appropriate.
I know that I would like to travel and know that I could refer to this diary for a referral to a good restaurant, inn, gas station, hardware store or sightseeing tour that is owned and operated by one of my "blue" buddies. I'd feel much happier sleeping at night knowing that my money is going into the pocket of someone who is more likely to be a supporter of the cause/kos.
So, in keeping with the theme, I'd like to give my first shameless plug to:
http://www.petfriendlytravel.com/Pages/states/mississippi/eanderson/eanderson.html
I'd suggest you include a link, if possible, and a brief description of the place, person, service you are submitting.
Regarding my link to "The Key of Sea", for instance, I'd like to tell you a few things about it.
First of all, it's owned by Ellis Anderson. Originally from North Carolina, Ms. Anderson spent many years living in the French Quarter of New Orleans where she became an accomplished artist who works with silver and other metals. She owns the Quarter Moon Art Gallery in downtown Bay St. Louis, Ms. She has lived, full time, in Bay St. Louis for the past 12 years. Ms. Anderson is also the Queen of the Bawdy Song. Ask her to sing you a few - you won't regret it.
Ms. Anderson is involved in local preservation and anti-sprawl efforts being undertaken in Bay St. Louis. Bay St. Louis has recently been "discovered" by development companies in Florida and California who envision condominiums up and down Bay St. Louis' fragile, wetland coast. She is also an avid dem activist and supporter of Howard Dean. She is truly a person dedicated to making a difference.
The accommodations are lovely and very relaxing. The house is very large and the guest accommodations are like having your own place on the bay at an extremely reasonable price. Plus, you can bring your pet as long as he or she is well trained and gets along with other dogs. Ellis has two.
Bay St. Louis, Ms. is a very old and quaint little Artist's Colony on a bay of the Gulf of Mexico. The bay is very shallow with warm waters. It is not so much an ocean town as it is a southern version of a town in Cape Cod that has many ponds. In the last few years, Bay St. Louis has seen an influx of newbies drawn there for the small town friendliness and inexpensive real estate. This has changed recently and real estate continues to climb.
Lastly, Bay St. Louis is the kind of town you'll love to explore. It feels much like the south of the 1920s but, guess what friends, there's alot of liberals living there!

OK. That's it for my shameless plug. What's yours?
