CNN's homepage headline:  CIA chief has 'excellent idea' where bin Laden is
http://www.cnn.com/

It looks like some serious groundwork is being laid for another Bush fraternity road trip.  Crazy talk, you say?  I sure hope so, but bear with me.

Porter Goss says bin Laden cannot be caught unless weak links in the war on terrorism are strengthened.  Hmmm.  He speaks of "sanctuaries in sovereign nations" but will not elaborate.

Is he speaking of Pakistan?  Maybe.  I think, however, that the rumor long floating around on the internets about bin Laden hiding out in Iran was being encouraged by this administration.  I think it's inevitable that they invade Iran, but they need a stronger pretext than spreading democracy.  We won't get fooled again with the WMD stuff (or possible unauthorized nukular activity) but bring up the Bogeyman and they might get themselves some traction.  Besides, gotta distract from the lousy domestic news.

Then there's the Bolton nomination.  He's a pivotal cog in the wheel with his unswerving loyalty to the nutbag neocon cause.  Gotta get him into the UN to scream those surrender monkeys into submission.  Now there's talk of a recess nomination to get him in, around the normal democratic process, of course.

This is looking worse and worse by the day and the diary on Scott Ritter's prediction on the Iraqification of Iran isn't making me feel better about it.  It's like watching a horrible car accident happen in slow motion and not being able to do anything about it.  I'm just relieved I don't have a draft-age son to worry about.  Hope I'm wrong, ya'll.
