Nancy Grace has a countdown to Tookie's execuation and it's sick, and shes just itching for it. It's like she wants to flip the switch herself. Between this and the Iraq bloodbath why are so many of us so barbaric?
It reminds me of when they stamped Scott Peterson with a red Death stamp - freaks me out. It's like the movie running man, where life is cheap and people die for sport, this time Arnold is in the opposite position as he was in the movie. It's like Nancy Grace wants to kill Tookie to make herself feel better, more secure.
The other reporters on the show say Tookie isn't a good poster child so he should die. I know he's not a good poster child but I don't think he should die. I hear arguments from people like imagine how much it costs to feed him his entire life. It actually costs more to execute someone mith all the appeals. America loses a part of itlesf when it takes on thinking like we should kill people because it's too expensive to feed them.
Randi Rhodes was saying today the only thing this deters is redemption and shes right.
There's more on O'Reilly below and a poll!
I also watched a segment on O'Reilly about the San Francisco cop home movie where they run over a homeless black women.
A prosecutor was on defending the cops and a defense attorney was prosecuting the cops, funny how the roles reverse when the police have transgressed.
The prosecutor argued running over a homeless black women and a black cop with a dog leash on his neck on all fours was ok because it was made "to boost morale" and because no one was supposed to see it.
O'Reilly agreed and said it was just like a bachelor party thing "to blow off steam" in th end O'Reilly said it was wrong because they did it in unifrom but he didn't really condemn it or anything!! Sounds like what Rush Limbaugh said about Abu Ghraib!
What is it with Conservatives and hurting and demeaning other people to feel better about yourseves?
Why are the bad people in charge of the world?
