The frustration of not seeing the Dems rise to the bait must be infuriating to the planners of our nation's demise.
Given the growing mountain of GOP scandals and the executive's ever bolder mocking of the rule of law one would think the Dems would be climbing over one another to reap the political windfalls being offered on a silver platter.
Yet few, if any Dems are sticking their heads out of their foxholes and you have to wonder why.
Once again we must put the shoe on the other foot if we are to understand this baffling set of circumstances.
How anxious would you be to inherit the ticking time bombs of our ruined economy, massive unemployment and staggering debt coupled with astronomical interest payments?
Whoever sits in the White House after this administration ends, if it ends, will have a badly broken nation on their hands.
Under our current system this individual, regardless of party affiliation, will have their hands tied as far as fixing any of the problems facing our society.
Both parties draw their financial support from the status quo. Changing the status quo, no matter how dire the need to do so becomes, will not be an option for any candidate elected under the current system.
Those `born to power' will zealously protect that power even if it means inflicting famine, pestilence and rioting not only this nation but around the globe.
This isn't a boogey man hiding in a dark closet but one out in full view that threatens to devour a full half of the current (global) workforce and all of the (world's) poor.
The economic collapse of the US will chain-react through the economies of the world. Ironically, the status quo gets to laugh through such a collapse. Thanks to their bilking of the world's treasuries and the exploitation of their nation's workers, if the currencies of the world are re-valued by a thousand to one, they'll still be rich by virtue of their continued ownership of the means of commerce!
Ever wonder why if every cent in the world's treasuries were evenly divided amongst the population of the world that the money would eventually end up back in the hands of the people it was taken from?
This is because the wealthy get theirs not through hard work but solely by ownership...you have to buy it from them for whatever they're charging...even the things you can't do without.
Yes, it's related because this is the best, unvarnished definition of the status quo there is.
There are those who own and then there's the rest of us.
Know the enemy.
Like monarchy, the thrones of the financially powerful are handed down parent to child and by all of our current laws, that child is `entitled' to their empire...no matter whose life's blood it's built upon.
So on one hand we have the Dem's `squandering' invaluable political capital while on the other we have a badly broken society teetering on the verge of collapse.
The failure of the Dem's to rise to the bait must be very frustrating indeed but who in their right mind would desire to take the helm of a doomed ship?
If we posit that the Dems and the Rethugs are merely two sides of the same corporate (or `status quo') coin then we could also deduce that they may know something that we don't...
Our nation, along with much of the industrialized world, has been turned into an economic desert. The icing on this cake is that the wells at the oasis have been poisoned as well.
What kind of future lies in store for you and yours if we fail to alter the status quo? People with the power to plunder the treasuries of the world are no one to trifle with; that said, their continued power to do so must not endure.
I'm not known for my `popular' viewpoints. Many still hope against hope the sun will come out and dry up these clouds of corruption, the growing threat of tyranny and fascism, that the nightmare will end and a new day will begin...
So long as the status quo endures you will remain their economic captives, toiling your life away burdened under a ton of debt to make their life better.
The greatest failure any of you can make is to not see this situation for what it is.
This is class war and social Darwinism in the extreme, unnatural selection determined by family wealth or the lack thereof.
In the coming battle for survival will you be a vassal for you own continued enslavement or a champion of freedom working to transform the world into a place where we can all live in peace and harmony?
Sadly, many of you will chose your paychecks over freedom and get what you deserve.
Ignorance is a terrible thing but in a world where slavery means safety and freedom means chaos your confusion is understandable.
There is a different and better way to marshal the world's resources for the benefit of mankind and it all starts with the end of laws that allow humans to exploit others for personal gain.
If working for a paycheck is good enough for 99% of us then it's good for all. It will not be until the resources of the world are managed for the benefit of all mankind that stable, just and equitable societies will rise.
A system that denies the individual unfair advantage over the rest of society will put our species on track to prosper like no civilization before us because there is no greater motivator than freedom!
That freedom if you have the patience to do some reading, can be found here.
Only fools revolt for more of the same.
Thanks for letting me inside your head,
Gegner
