Got a Happy Story? (Carnacki Ripoff Edition #2)

Oy! This NEWS! Makes me ca-razy, it does! Please, can we tangent for awhile??

here are 2 short, happy stories about my small boring life:

1. I am about 16 weeks pregnant, and I am JUST beginning to show. What this means is I have no real waist anymore, yet nobody would ever make the mistake of assuming I was pregnant. For the first time in my life I am slightly barrel shaped and am wearing pullup elastic waist pants like I did when I was 7. Its great! I finally have good reason to abandon the ridiculous low rise tight jeans crap that has plagued young women for several years now, and embrace the stretchy childlike pullup pants I remember from the 70s. Of course modern maternity wear LOOKS modern, but they are essentially comfort wear. Also...I have boobs!!! I knew I might get some before I was 40!!

2. I have won fully 3 bets over Rehnquist's retirement in the last 3 weeks (including today). I always take the bet that the old guy will remain in his robes until his last breath....I mean, why not? He's a sick man, he knows that retirement wont be a whole lot of fun.

(he hasnt retired yet....has he?)

Finally, my dear husband is an obsessed Red Sox fan who spends as much time on a Red Sox message board as I do on dkos. After glancing through our shared photobucket account a couple of weeks ago, I discovered that he appears to be working on a massive photoshop project which involves superimposing Red Sox players onto foreign bodies. I dont know why exactly...but I fear asking. At any rate, here is his David Ortiz.
