Cindy Sheehan needs our help!

Cindy Sheehan makes me feel proud to be a mother, and humbled by her courage and determination. There she is, in the hot Texas sun, standing her ground to face down the faux-cowboy bully hiding behind his aides.
But she shouldn't have to stand alone. A small but growing group of supporters is demonstrating with her in Crawford. And people across the country are showing support. Here's how to help, whether you're near or far. Read on....
I'm not able to get to Texas in person, so I've been scouring the web for ways to help from afar. From posts by Cindy's friends and supporters in various blogs, here's what they need the most:
- People, people, people
Numbers count. The more people who show up to join the demonstration, the better.
- Law enforcement protection and legal assistance
Both the Secret Service and the local sheriff's department have been trying to intimidate Cindy.

Sitution in Crawford escalating. Help needed RIGHT NOW! for the latest.
- Water, food, camping gear
If you are local, or you know anyone in northeastern Texas, you can bring supplies to the Crawford Peace House, which is graciously serving as a home base for Cindy.
- Letters and postcards of support

- Monetary Donations
You can mail checks to the Peace House address above, or donate to one of the peace groups that are with her:
- Airline Miles
If you can't go yourself, you can donate frequent flyer miles to help others get to Crawford. Go to Code Pink to find out how.
- Local Demonstrations Nationwide
Organize or join a demonstration in your own community. There's plenty of room for people to jump in here to organize. Some specific actions so far:
