The shenanigans don't stop.
Yet another über-conservative, gay-hating, homophobic legislation proposing, Boy Scout leading, Republican politician caught red-handed.
Choices cuts from this steer delivered below. Or, if you're vegetarian, tubers, legumes and calcium rich leafy greens in the steamer underneath the fold.
So, in Washington, on the West side of the mountains, we have our own mega-church leading homophopobic, ex-football player pushing his flock into the abyss of hating your neighbor. Recently, some gay activists attempted to go to his Antioch church, but were forced to sit in other sections. They were not allowed to sit with the general congregation.

Ken Hutcherson has been politely hating gays from his pulpit in front of his 3000+ member assembly for some time. It was only recently that he got some national recognition for convincing Microsoft to drop its support for a bill that would have banned discrimination against gays in Washington. It's commonly understood that it was this minor switch that made the difference in the vote in the Washington State legislature.
So, fast forward to... um... today. That's like 2 days, what a sucky time machine.
Anyway, now we have a new investigative report which had a reporter from the Spokane newspaper posing in a gay chat room. Apparently there had been rumors for some time about the current Mayor of Spokane, but they were always kept hushed.
Now it turns out that Jim West, a former state legislator, admits to sleeping with men, but denies molesting any boy scouts. In the article, there are two grown men, who happen to also have drug charges in their pasts, who claim West... well, I'm sure I don't have to go into detail.
I wouldn't characterize myself as 'gay.'
But he apparently didn't shy away from the term bisexual.
Of course, his sexual orientation isn't the issue. The issue is that he has pushed anti gay legislation throughout his career.
He also says that most gay men turn him off.
But, what do his co-workers have to say?
Jim Honeyford, R-Sunnyside, said from what he's read, "it's a pretty sad situation for Jim ... It will be very difficult for him, if these allegations are true."
Honeyford, a Republican leader in Olympia, said he and his party oppose issues such as gay marriage because, he said, homosexuality is immoral.
However, judging from Honeyford's statement, lying and adultery are still okay, even if God doesn't like it.
