Hoekstra should be recalled

Fri Jan 06, 2006 at 03:06:11 PM PDT

Hoekstra was one of the members of Congress who "W" informed of his authorizing the NSA to vilolate the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution and the law regulating presidential powers and domestic intelligence gathering passed during the last "Imperial Presidency" (Nixon's). Hoekstra did not raise a concern when told about this "high crime" and, after "W" admitted in a public statement that he knew he was violating the law and had told the Congressmen that when he told them about his assuming the power to do it, Pete went on the local TV stations here in the GR area and said he supports "W" completely. This means that PH supports violation of both the Constitution and federal laws, and that should make him inelgible to continue to serve in Congress.
Serving in Congress makes the members government officials who are sworn to defend and protect the Constitution. By allowing this act by "W" to go on unchallenged PH has violated his oath of office.

FYI: I wss on a screening and endorsing committee for the MEA when PH was running for his first term. He told us that he believed in term limits (then a ballot proposal) and if he was successful he would only serve three terms, as Michigan House of Representative Members are limited to. This fall he will be running for his sixth term (if I remember correctly). If I remember correctly, before becoming a Congressman PH worked fot either Hayworth or Prince in Holland. I believe it was Prince and you should remember that Betsey DeVos' maiden name was Prince. It is time we recall him, either by petition or by defeating him in August or September.

PH will be on WOODTV's "To the Point" at 10 Sunday morning. You can be sure that they will only throw him blooper balls but he still might make a statement that could embarass him.  If you live in the viewing area you might want to watch it.
