The latest piece of genius out of MSNBC is Howard Fineman's better-late-than-never- realization that the mainstream media is a thing of the past. That "blogger nation" is the new, new media. That the GOP wanted to kill the mainstream media is a strange thing. Mainstream media wasn't, isn't and never will be liberal. It wasn't far right, but it was right. The GOP, wanting everything, killed mainstream media--thru the usual channels like talk radio and its own papers & TV--nonetheless. The GOP always wants more. So if media isn't purely right-wing, its not good enough and should be killed. so the media is dead. long live the media.
