I'm curious how (and if) people's transportation choices correlate to their political leaning. In the USA, most people travel by car, no matter what they believe. This is not a surprise, since many or most regions here make it difficult to travel any other way.
That said, it is a bit disconcerting to think of the same people holding "No Blood for Oil" signs driving their car without a qualm. With a qualm seems more thoughtful to me.
It may matter to some who read this that Iraqi oil recently re-entered the US markets; presumably some in the DKOS community are burning it in their tank. A few may care about the harmful effects of automobile transport on communities or the environment. Many may not think about it at all, not seeing it as an important issue.
I am not accusing anyone of anything. I'm just curious how the DKOS community chooses their commute, although I'm sure that many feel they don't have a choice. So I'm trying to reflect this in my poll below, giving not just choices but some attitude variables as well.
