(TX-22) Tonight I Bitch Slapped A Homophobe (Updated) And Won!

This was so much fun, that I just had to share.  Tonight I was reading my email in Gmail and noticed an ad at the top that was bashing Nick Lampson running for Delays seat as a liberal. Even more liberal than Hillary.... All toogether now:

So, I clicked the Google Adwords ad and what did I find?  Evidence, I said evidence that Nick Lampson wants to destroy marriage and that if he wins, he will surely make homosexuality mandatory for all newborns from this date forward.

OK, so I already had the thrill of knowing that clicking on this homophobe's ad cost him money (I am in the web marketing biz you see), but then I decided to take it a step further and send Mr. Lampson $25. I just had too.

It wasn't enough though, just to send the $25. I wanted Nick Lampson to know why I sent it, so I sent him a little email telling him why.

Then I thought, why not tell the homophobe I sent it too and get a little dig in while I am at it, so I did that too.  Below is the email, but the best part is, if you want to have little fun, you can do the same thing I did.

Just do a search on Google for Nick Lampson and at the top of the page you will see this bozos ad.  If you want to visit his page, you have to click the ad.  But be careful, it's scary when you get there:

If you want to have fun with this, you can do the same or you can search on another candidate name and click the ad for their opposition and then give to the candidate you support. Anyway, I feel much better.

Have you noticed that the gay Republicans being outed these days are the ones that were most adamantly anti-gay beforehand?  Don't you think people have caught on to the fact that you are likely gay and that is why you are so violent in your ridiculous opposition to Mr. Lampson? Let it go man.  It's OK to be gay. It's 2006.  Homosexuality has been around since the beginning of human existence.  You are not the first, I promise.

Anyway, thought you'd like to know that I clicked your Google Ad out of curiosity in my Gmail account and your site inspired me to send the Honorable Mr. Lampson $25. So your ad cost you in 2 ways - the click and the contribution to your opponent.  Before you respond to me, really take some time to think about why you are so angry. It's scary. Doesn't it scare you to have so much anger about this whole thing?  Have you ever thought about why you get so worked up and excited about Mr. Lampson?

Anyway, I hope you are able to work through all of this and can put your energy and passion towards something more positive.

I gave to your campaign for two reasons:

1. I am a Daily Kos regular and you come up there.
2. I was in my Google Email account and saw an ad (Google Adwords ad) there from the homophobe that is opposing you with the web site and the billboard.  My response to that person would be
Me thinks thou doth protest too much!
Anyway, if you run into him let him know that $25 made it your way because of his ad.

(Update) - Looks like he killed the ad (see comment below). I mentioned Daily Kos in my email, so maybe he came here as well. Either way good to see it gone! Makes for a thoroughly satisfying evening.
