The Rhetoric of Sirius Satellite Radio favors the GOP

A friend of mine just got Sirius radio a few days ago.  I was pretty excited as I had heard that it was really great and had a lot of options.  However one of these options threw me for a loop and I was wondering if other people had a take on this.  In essence, I will discuss below why Sirius considers the right to be "Patriots" while the left is just outspoken and entertaining.

In the internet version of Sirius radio... if you want to listen to talk radio... you have 3 or 4 options.  One of them is Howard Stern and other talk stars, and then there is something called "Sirius Patriot" and "Sirius Left".  I was a little baffled to see that Sirius Patriot is really right-wing talk radio.  This by itself is rather repugnant for me. So "patriots" listen to right wind talk radio?  Here take a look at their choices on their website:

Why couldn't the channel be titled Sirius Conservative?  I don't know who owns this company but I don't like the representation of this channel especially compared to the left talk radio.  Here is the description of the Sirius Patriot channel:

Patriotic conservatives?  So these people represent America?

Let's take a look at the description of the Sirius Left channel from this website:

Wait so these people are just outspoken and entertaining while the conservatives are celebrating our country?  Who wrote the copy at Sirius... Bill Bennett?  I may be making too much out of this but I find it pretty offensive that this rhetoric is used on this station.  The people on the left support this country as much on the people on the right and to suggest otherwise is just wrong.  We should at least push for a more fair and balanced description.

I know in this election season there are much more important things on everyone's plates but when the powers that be try to put hidden messages it just hacks me off.
