ABC News Foley Story Comments Section Slamming Gays & Dems

I guess there's a right wing Christian fundie approving the 'comments' area over there ont he ABC News website, under the story about Congressman Foley. Follow the link and scroll down.

These are just a few of the 'pearls of wisdom' being regurgitated by outraged 'values voters' and Republicans who want to blame this whole mess on gays in goverment and the Democrats:

"Some of you people are flat out crazy. Just because one guy did something the entire party is NOT corrupt. I vote based on a core belief system. One guy doing this isn't all of a sudden going to make me think we should bail on Iraq, appease our enemies, acknowledge enemies, think gay marriage is ok, think we should ban guns, raise taxes, become an athiest, and legalize pot!
Bottom line Foley is wrong for what he did. So are a lot of liberals in power for laws they break. It happens on BOTH sides so get over yourselves. All of us have to admit when someone in power does something like this that it's wrong. EVEN if you vote for their party. Call them on it.

"As much as I dislike the Republicans (and the Democrats), the key difference between the two with respect to this issue, is that the Republicans resign when evidence of sexual misconduct surfaces while Democrats do not. It's nice that at least one party's members still have a sense of shame.

"Why not look back my fellow Americans and examine your own moral values. Sodomy is now legal in most parts of the USA; homosexual unions are 'blessed' by many Church demoninations. Foley is worse than most but he takes his example from the morally corrupt nation we live in.

Apparently, this idiot doesn't even bother to recount what Barney Frank was guilty, but since he's gay, why not lump him in with pedophiles, too. The right feels their grip coming loose and they're in high wingnut mode!
