Let's get the message to the DNC...
We WILL keep the focus on Lieberman. The netroots will continue to diary and report and blog and rally on the Lieberman front... UNLESS Joe drops out, UNLESS the heavyweights in the DNC publically ask Joe to drop out.
Does the DNC want our potent attention on continuing internecine fights? Or would it prefer we focus on the actual enemies (the GOP)?
The DNC should think carefully. Unless it disavows Lieberman's campaign, we will relentlessly keep the focus on his campaign.
Make no mistake: to continue to blog and fight against Joe is wasteful. We SHOULD be fighting the GOP. We SHOULD be pointing out their weaknesses.
BUT, unless the Democractic Party unites behind the primary winner, Ned Lamont, that attention will continue to be on Connecticut.
We, the netroots, will not tolerate your shenanigans. By not immediately disavowing Lieberman you are not with us, but you are against us.
And make that decision at your peril.
