I have heard that after the Congressional Progressive Caucus hearing today on Iraq that a few of the attendees who gave testimony are going over to call on Sen. Frist. The curent business of the Senate is a bill that is 'emergency funding' the war to the tune of almost $70 billion dollars.
Cindy Sheehan was at the caucus hearing this morning and she is not planning on voluntarily leaving Frist's office until he addresses some concerns over this war.
The war needs to be discussed on the floor of the Senate. We need to be discussing why we are still there and why we are funding this.

Anyway, has any of this come out on the news media? There was a young vet of this war who gave testimony at that hearing that was heart-breaking. He spoke of his expereinces in Iraq and his experiences since coming home and his struggles with PTSD. I think he is also planning on not leaving, ahm, voluntarily. (I would love to see pictures on the news of Frist's office having a young veteran of the Iraq War carried off by Capitol police.)
Iraq needs to be discussed now. The funding bill is on the floor of the Senate. The American people need to know what they are funding.
