SeattleKos: A post party report

Well, I'm surprised none of the 20 or so people who showed up at the Elysian Fields diaried this yet.  So I'll give it a whirl.

I got there about a half hour late and there were already about a dozen or more SeattleKossacks seated around a long table and another 4 or 5 crammed into a booth.  I sat down at the end of the table and had a good time talking with I believe exmearden and a guy from Vashon Island who I can't remember what his DKos name was.

Remember, this was in a bar so we spoke much about IPA's, cheap wine, and that sort of thing.

Later, the 2 guys across the table from me joined in the conversation (sorry, didn't get the names) and we talked about Dave Cameron's and Derek Zumsteg's excellent Seattle Mariner blog, USSM.

At one point I asked who the true DailyKos stars were in attendance.  Almost by command N in Seattle showed up to introduce himself.  But he waved off star status and pointed to mcjoan as the true hero who had been journeying across the West giving us campaign reports heading up to Election night.  I was happy to be able to chat with mcjoan toward the end of the night, as she had driven through much of the stomping grounds of my youth in Montana and Wyoming.

All and all a very good night.  The mood was great.  Everyone was still pretty "up" from Election Night.  Definitely exceeded my expectations and I'll attend another event if there is one.  My only regret was somehow not meeting IsraelHand as I always enjoy his comments within the various diaries on DailyKos.
