A Howard Powered Victory - Thanks Doc!

As a more-than slightly disgruntled Indy (former Dem) I wanted to share that in spite of my serious and still present concerns about Congressional Dems over the past few years of the Bush Junta- I did vote in this election.
Up until lastweek I was undecided on who I was going to vote for.
However, snarky comments on waterbaording ("dunk in the water") made by our VP recently made me starkly aware that this GOP has got to go.
And it was the only issue that mattered in how I cast my vote.
I voted a Dem ticket all the way - and you can thank Dick Cheney for that one because up until that crack I was so dismayed by Congressional Dems lately that I was at a loss as to how to vote (hint: suspending habeas corpus and legalizing torture are not things I can just "get over"). Seriously.
I think that all, esp the Dem Party membership, need to recognize that this Dem victory is a Howard Dean victory.
Without a 50 state on-the-ground strategy and seriously organized GOTV effort, Dems cannot win.
Indiana is case in point. In 2004 Indiana could have gone Dem but no Dems really spent time there. The powers that be in the DNC at the time had written off Indiana to the GOP in 2004. I have friends who could not find a Kerry sign to save their lives! Now look at today- 2, possibly 3 pick ups in that state alone!
I am proud of Howard Dean and the hard work he has done.
This is his victory tonight, IMHO.
And this diary is dedicated to him and all he has done to help us get our country back!
