A local reporter from New Orleans reported to CNN via telephone, on the conditions at the Superdome.
- The area around the Superdome is slowly beginning to be covered by water.
- People with broken arms, legs and other bones are bing brought to the Superdome.
- A man, after finishing a chat with friends, calmly got up and walked towards a balcony. Asked those below to make way, and jumped to his death.
- There is no electricity or Air Conditioning. Temperatures inside the Superdome are "oven-like."
- The Mayors office is flooding and he is looking to set up central command at the Superdome.
- New estimates have as many as 35-40 thousand people inside the Superdome.
Things are getting very bad at the Superdome. Fears of violence breaking out and other suicides is feared.

- - it'll be atleast 2 weeks before they can get the water out of the city of New Orleans.
- - Minimum 2 months before electricity can be restored.
- - Minimum 2 months that schools will not open to students.
- - Waters continue to rise all over the city.
- - Waters are waist high outside the Superdome
- - Looting of food and supples continues in front of police officers. There is no where to take the offenders.
- - People that evacuated are being told not to come back. There is nothing to come back to.
- - One county in SE LA is totally submerged. It has become a part of the mississippi river. The peak of a church is said to be totally submerged. It exists no more.
- - Widespread pandamonium pursues.
- - Thousands are stranded on roofs and other high ground waiting for rescue.
- - Untold numbers of people are presumed dead.
