Enough Talk - it's time to hit them back where it hurts - the wallet.
Little Green Footballs, the racist, hate-mongering blog that helped spawn the whole issue with dKos last weekend has a political advertiser as well. I wonder what Bryan Coffman would think about such lovely, American sentiments such as:
Multiple articles titled, "Hate Like an Egyptian". I know my Egyptian-American friends, while disagreeing with their homeland's newspapers, are greatly offended by the blanket painting of all Egyptians as being filled with hate.
And then there are lovely calls for genocide in Iraq like these:
Raze Fallujah
I'll remind you of what it took to quell the beasts of Germany and Japan in 1945: complete and total destruction. There was a reason why we bombed Dresden into oblivion. There was a reason why Berlin was not saved. There was a reason why two atomic bombs had to be dropped on Japan after Hiroshima: they still refused to surrender unconditionally.
And...
Fallujah, a God Forsaken Town
Zeyad at the Iraqi blog Healing Iraq reinforces my point, that the atrocity we saw in Fallujah is not unusual for Iraq (or for the larger Arab world, where the honor-shame dynamic almost mandates such scenes).
So nice to see Coffman advertises on a site that calls for an ethnic cleansing of an entire region in retaliation for the - completely unwarranted - killing of four men. Yes it was a terrible thing, but killing women and children fixes this how?
And then we have the lovely insult to Islamic women, like this:
(Accompanying a photo of Islamic women in traditional garb) I don't know why more people - especially women - aren't converting to Islam. They make it seem so inviting.
Tell Mr. Coffman that America is not about ethnic and religious hatred.
