If I were handling Bush there are a few things I would work on with the man. First off I would get him to stand at the lecturn rather than slouch and lean against it. He looked almost impish compared to Kerry.
Second, I don't know what the deal is with his mouth but the split screen did him no favors (Thank you FoxNews) showing a definite primate type expression.
Third, looking at Bush's eyes squinting continuously it looks like Bush has developed a nervous twitch. This could be the result of being protected for four years never having to stand and listen to someone say something negative about him.
Finally, my wife is about as apolitical as they come so I asked her what she thought. She said Kerry sounded like he was preparred and Bush stumbled and stammered around. Bush's reliance on crutch words (uh's, um's, you know's, double clutches) made him look incredibly inarticulate.
Kerry is not without some things to work on as well. He had the tendency to chuckle during Bush responses which could be received poorly, and he needs to quit doing that thing with his tongue.
