Iraq Swift Boaters Get a Reality Check

Thu Feb 16, 2006 at 11:42:53 AM PDT

I am spitting mad right now. I spent a long time researching and writing a killer diary updating my attack on the White House Iraq propaganda front group -- Midwest Heroes ["MWH"].

But it got eaten by Daily Kos.

Since it would take me an inordinate amount of time and patience to painstakingly re-create it, I am not going to bother. It was perfect as it was. Sigh.

For my previous bombshell on these guys, read this. Go here for my original two entries [You really need to read them as well]. And make sure you spread the word, please. I am not doing this for fame and fortune. I genuinely see a serious politcal threat akin to the Swift Boat Liars For Bush and am trying to nip it in the bud. So your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

All that being said, I do have a new fact-checking of Midwest Heroes for you. But this one's not by me.

It was performed by a local Minnesota TV station in their "Reality Check" segment for political ads.

They conclude that the ad is largely misleading. (Surpise! surprise!).

They also note that Minnesota is the test audience for these ads. So, if they gain traction in Minnesota, they will be rolled out across the country!

MAJOR UPDATE! The Democratic farm Labor Party of Minnesota is going to go after the Midwest heroes ads. Apparently, KSTP-TV is refusing to ru the ads. This is the station that broke the video footage of the sealed Al Qaaqa explosives bunkers.

UPDAT ON THE UPDATE: Here is the DFL statement on the ads. Pretty tame.

I sent them my expose about Dolores Kesterson bu It guess they got it too late.
