I seemed to have rubbed some people the wrong way with the
DEAN DEATH SENTENCE headline on my diary earlier today, and that was not my intention. It was certainly meant to grab your attention and be provocative, but mostly to get people to read what I really feel is actually a crippling (if not
deadly) position taken by Dean.
My point is clearly made in the first sentence, and then backed up by what I felt are some pretty rational arguments. If you actually read the post, you'll find it to be a fairly constructive critical analysis of a Dean weakness as observed by a Dean supporter. Most of the feedback seems to bear that out.
My objective was to open a dialogue on what I consider a legitimate concern about Dean as the (potential) Presidential nominee. I will continue to give my honest assessment of the primary and election, or whatever the topic may be. Sometimes that will mean criticizing a candidate. If you don't want to hear anything bad about your candidate you should probably stick to their blog / site.
I'm not actually apologizing for my post or the headline, I stand by everything I wrote 100%. I just regret that the headline may have led to some folks getting too ticked off or defensive to be receptive to my point.
