I'm so DAMN MAD!

Fri Mar 17, 2006 at 11:39:30 PM PDT

Alright, I got carried away with the tags but Heck! [Insert Archival footage of ever polite Democrats wringing hands over someone saying "something they shouldn't" about the opposition.] But DAMN! I'm unhappy right now with the flagellates.
[definition after the fold]
Flagellates - whipping boys unite! Don't let anyone get out of line. If they do, sternly rap their little tushies with your Roberts Rules of Order. Just be sure that you don't ever take a position on your own. Or maybe AGREE with the evil doers.

Feingold says it, and the world waits....

and waits....

and... oh there's someone now.... No, they were just standing up to recrease their slacks or ease their hemmorrhoids, sorry.

Let's see: a brief highlight reel of the last year courtesy of the War President...
Well. we've got the War, PlameGate, Katrina [I'm just hitting the pieces that the US press eventually got on board with and did a minimum of research and then spilled a little ink about which leaves out the Downing Street Memo], the Enron meltdown's first trials, Ditto WorldCom, Bye bye Allan Greenspan [apres moi le deluge], ANWAR drilling is finally passed [in the Budget bill that narrowly squeaked by congress], Katrina survivors left behind, Heckovajob Brownie's launch as an entrepreneur of disaster planning, vacations at the ranch [at least he didn't shoot anyone we heard about], LNG facilities built far enough off the Cali shore that US laws don't cover them [makes you wonder what else is going to be pumped through that pipe don't it?], the Republican Scandal Circus in DC and....

...then it all changed in an instant - I discovered that Helen Thomas is coming out with a new book about the failings of the press corpse [not a misspelling] during the run up to war that's due out soon. THIS is GREAT news! In answer to "Big Brother" we finally have "Gutsy Lady."

Now my fondest wish is that the indomnitable duo, Feingold and Thomas collaborate on a series about the failing of the Democratic Party leadership to grasp the change in the wind. I'd even be happy with an interview. Real Questions meet Real Answers....
