Kossacks are... [updated w/ samples]

The whole recent Maryscott O'Connor fooferall was about how we are described, by mainstream media.  Some liked it, some disliked it; many seemed to resent the loss of power inherent in being described by a media outlet, especially one that's not exactly friendly to our goals or values.

So I suggest we take things into our own hands, and use the great outreach this community has gained to counter any memes about us we disagree with -- or at least add to them so as to create a truly complete picture.  In other words: let's describe ourselves (and each other).

I invite all Kossacks to do so in the comments, using the following rules:

1: One word or one concept per person.  E.g.:

Kossacks are... obstreperous.

or

Kossacks are... inexplicably obsessed with small horses ponies.

2: If using a single word, you have to use one that no one else has.  Same with concepts.

3: Let's be honest, and not turn this into a total mutual praise-fest/wankathon.  We have our warts, no reason to hide them.

I'll start with what has struck me most about Kossacks ever since I joined, and continues to awe and inspire, and indeed sometimes intimidate, me every day I read here.  Since it's my diary I get to use the word:

Kossacks are... intelligent.
