I was just looking over the primary schedule and it seems that after March 9th the primaries really start to space out. We have a caucus in Kansas on the 13th and then a primary in Illinois on the 20th and then some contests in Wyoming, Guam, and Alaska (and I will make a wild guess and say that both Kerry and Edwards would largely ignore all of these) and basically three weeks before any more serious primaries with I believe Indiana coming sometime in mid April.
So what happens if Edwards survives Super Tuesday and sweeps the 9th? Do we go into June without a nominee? Doesn't this all redound very much to the benefit of the Edwards campaign, given the Senator's superior retail campaign talents? Why hasn't the media picked up on this tidbit? So much for the much-hyped compacted schedule...
