I have wondered recently about why Joe Lieberman hasn't endorsed John Kerry. At least I don't believe he has. To my knowledge, they haven't held a meeting like Dean and Edwards did with Kerry after they dropped out. Gephardt and Clark endorsed Kerry shortly after dropping out. I saw Lieberman on Fox News saying the candidates shouldn't take Clarke's allegations re: the White House and Al Qaeda seriously. Lieberman has also been anything but critical of President Bush, even during the primaries. So why hasn't Lieberman endorsed Kerry?
Will he? Will he do it half-heartedly just out of partisan obligation? Not that it will matter, but I'm curious what Kossacks have to say on the matter.
On another related matter, I am curious about another thing re: Joe Lieberman. If hypothetically, he was the Dem's nominee, how would Bush handle him? I doubt that Bush could call him weak on defense, as Joe wanted to invade Iraq in 1998 and supported the first gulf war.
Joe and Pres. Bush are both extremely religious, and Joe has been consistently critical of Hollywood and entertainment and video games. Joe said he would repeal taxes on the upper brackets, so this would make him vulnerable to being a "tax-raiser", but other than this, how could he have been dealt with? I think if he was the nominee, Nader would get around 5 or 6%. ABB sentiment exists, but only to an extent. Some may think this diary is irrelevant, b/c it's hypothetical partly, but I'm curious, since Joe has been in the news, and had an op-ed in one of the papers the other day. My first diary, and I believe it's different than the other Joe diary out there. I think the poll may be biased b/c of the anti-Joe sentiment in the Kossosphere in the past 24 hours.
