Well, well, well, while we were on a wild goose chase in Iraq for WMDs, our good "ally" Pakistan was
running a 'nuclear supermarket'.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sure glad that we've been giving Musharraf so much support since he dropped his support of the Taliban and started prosecuting Muslims in his own country. I mean, what's a little secret nuclear supermarket between allies?
Seriously, though. I know that when you're on a quest to eradicate evil you sometimes are forced to make friends with unsavory countries, but isn't it about time we started laying down the law with Pakistan? They're friggin
supplying the regimes we're trying to prevent from getting WMDs. Not to mention, Musharraf, while not the worst of dictators, isn't exactly democratic. I mean, I know we're supposed to include a few despotic regimes in our quests against evil & all, but isn't this a little too hypocritical, even by Bush standards?
But all that is beside the point. This nuclear supermarket was humming right along while Bush dithered over fake WMDs in Iraq. Let me say that again. One of our allies was proliferating right behind our back while Rummy & Bush were telling us what a danger Iraq was.
Isn't that criminal negligence?
