What you all missed while you were living it up at YKos

Yup, ya missed a lot.

While you were shmoozing with Wes Clark, glad handing Mark Warner, meeting people you've known for a long time for the first time, you missed out on a lot of life.  

Just so you know, there were many of us, hundreds even who had to stay away from LV and keep the economy at home going.  I had to put in a couple days hard, hard work.  Sitting at my desk in a windowless cube farm, far from anything remotely like the outside.

I was keeping my paycheck coming so I could pay my mortgage, pay the preschool bill, and buy groceries.  I was trying to single handedly jump start the local economy.

Yes, while you were living in your alternate reality, live blogging from meta kos, or meta meta kos, I was stealing glimpses of orange while bosses, and coworkers weren't watching.   Trying to keep the world from falling apart while all the rest of the left leaning world is living it up in LV.

Did you know that there was a big todo about Armando?  How about a few games of soccer in Europe?  Or some bad guy got blown to bits in Iraq, as opposed to innocents getting blown to bits in Iraq?

I was playing with my kids, hoping for a better world.  I was teaching my kids to play nice together.  I cooked a scrumptious meal for my family.  I took public transportation to save gas.  I looked forward to a weekend of jobs around the house, hoping that the rain stops so I could trim the bushes.  Not trim Bush like ya'll are doing.

I tried to sleep late, but the kids woke me up early.  So instead of eating breakfast at a buffet with some political bigwig, I eat Cheerios with two little girls, the loves of my life.  Yes, I let me wife sleep in.  I would have brought her coffee, but she doesn't drink coffee.

So while you are living it up at YKos, there are those of us, who stayed home to keep the rest of the world together.
