OK, I wasn't going to write a diary about this, but I wanted it seen on the board by people more connected than me.
I'm refraining my comment to another diary. Basically, Lieberman can't call himself "the independent candidate for the Senate from Connecticut" because Connecticut already has a party called "The Independent Party," and they have a candidate on the ballot for the Senate race.
So Joe invented the "Connecticut for Lieberman" Party or CFL.
A party with 25 members invented a few days ago has a single candidate running for office, and basically on the premise that the Democratic Party's elected candidate shouldn't be elected to the Senate.
That's a FRINGE candidate.
That's what Lieberman ought to be called. Again and again and AGAIN. He should be called a fringe candidate and a "failed candidate" at every opportunity. The reason for his defeat in the Dem primary ought to be called a recognition of FAILED leadership.
Lieberman is a fringe candidate because his party is an extreme minority, his views are minority views, and his support is miniscule.
The answer to every claim that he has wide support? His party has 25 members.
Lyndon LaRouche has more support than Joe Lieberman. Think about that one. If LaRouche is a fringe candidate, then what is Lieberman?
Those are the talking points. You're welcome
