Doesn't seem that the American people have almost forgotten about the terrorist who, shortly after 9/11, targeted the Democratic leadership? The terrorist who seemed to act on the opinions and pleasure of many U.S. right wingers? I know the FBI has "persons of interest" on the case, but I hardly ever hear news about it. Any guesses who is responsible? (see poll)
Before the war I heard conservative friends call Daschle a traitor; then Ann Coulter's book "Traitor" came out, and the copycat books. It made me think of the anthrax terrorist. When I read the paper, I often seem to read a letter or opinion by someone accusing progressives, or anti-war activitists, of treachery. Is this normal political discourse? Maybe liberals/progressives have made themselves vulnerable by disavowing the concept of "patriotism"...?
