A common criticism of people on the left of the political spectrum (ok, sorry to generalize, but hey) is that they are "out of touch" with mainstream American society. What bugs me about this is, most of my friends or acquaintences, people who I spend the most time with, tend to share many or most of my political views. What I want to know is, how about the rest of you Kos viewers?
What constitutes "mainstream" in your definition, and how are you "out of touch" with that?
I know this is a bit of a strange question, but I continue to be mystified why I meet some people online who are staunch conservatives and basically support anything the current administration does. Of course, I basically oppose anything BushCo does, which I guess is the most "out of touch" I can get...with the conservaties.
Please help me to understand this!
