I've come to the conclusion that Terri was most likely "tortured" by the Schindlers' attorney which members of the family were in the room to get her to vocalize after a lawyer told her to say "I want to live." This is from what people supposedly supporting the Schindlers' case have said.
Strange things can happen when a person tries to check out the stories from the other side. Those might prove something they would rather had remain hidden.
It is quite possible pain was the cause of Terri's outburst that the world is supposed to believe is a plea for life.
Our first witness is Nurse Nora Wagner. Nora Wagner has been a nurse for 30 years. Of those the last 2 she has spent at Woodside Hospice where Terri has been a patient since 2000.
Ms Wagner's main complaints were that Terri hasn't been given rehabilitative therapy--Well, yeah Hun, 13 years after the lady's brain developed a flat line EKG and all the therapy that was tried produced no verifiable improvement things tend to go that way. It was also 5 years since the right to die suit was started too. That's why, but you only know about the last 2 years don't you?
But Nurse Nora revealed another truth in her testimony. She said Terri does feel pain. She also said it is the only time that Terri vocalizes!
"The only time I ever heard her make sounds is, um, if she's in pain like, if, you know, she has her monthly (menstrual period) and she's in pain," Wagner explained. "She'll moan a bit and grimace, and that's how we know, you know, to give her a Motrin."--CNSNews

But I remembered when I checked out the story of how Terri said "Aaah Waaah!" with a lawyer, members of Terri's family and Randall Terry in the room--the lawyer was in very close proximity to Terri at the time.
Now read this account of the moment by the lawyer herself:
Barbara Weller along with David Gibbs III of the Gibbs Law Firm of Seminole, Florida, is representing the Schindler family in their efforts to save Terri's life. Weller writes for the Empire Journal, "The most dramatic event of this visit happened at one point when I was sitting on Terri's bed next to Suzanne. Terri was sitting in her lounge chair and her aunt was standing at the foot of the chair. I stood up and learned over Terri. I took her arms in both of my hands. I said to her, 'Terri if you could only say "I want to live" this whole thing could be over today.' I begged her to try very hard to say, 'I want to live.'" Weller wrote that she was shocked at what happened next. "Terri's eyes opened wide, she looked me square in the face, and with a look of great concentration, she said, "Ahhhhhhh." Then, seeming to summon up all the strength she had, she virtually screamed, "Waaaaaaaa." She yelled so loudly that Michael Vitadamo, Suzanne's husband, and the female police officer who were then standing together outside Terri's door, clearly heard her."
Weller relates that at this point, "Terri had a look of anguish on her face that I had never seen before ...and began to cry.

The lawyer actually had her hands on Terri by her own admission. And a nurse has said that Terri only vocalizes when she is in pain.
I believe that good strong pinches were delivered to Terri's arms at that moment to create vocalization that they could make into a statement a charade, a lie that has since been used in an attempt to turn the tide of public opinion.
