Bush's State of the Union address is on tuesday, right after Iowa. After the Iowa Caucus, this is the first big chance candidates have to reposition themselves in the pack. Since Bush will probably spring a surprise or two and is unlikely to have any lies that can be discovered during the course of the speech, candidates will need to think on their feet. Moreover, there will be two waves of response... the immediate televised one, and the more thoughtful written responses a few hours later.
Who will benefit from this?
