The Madness of King George

Fri Jan 12, 2007 at 02:06:52 AM PDT

How long must we suffer the endless posturing of Bush and his administration???  I seem to remember that the initial authorization to go to war mentioned something about trying diplomacy first, not last, and especially not ever!

Rice repeated the Bush administration's intent not to join in direct talks on Iraq with Iran and Syria because the United States would be seen as a "supplicant."

"I think there's a burden on Iran and Syria to show that there are reasons to come to the table that are in the best interest of the region," Rice told members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in a morning hearing.

So Bush and Condi are afraid that America would "loose face" and be seen as a "supplicant" (–noun
one praying humbly for something; "a suppliant for her favors"; to kneel down)
if we engage in conversation with Iraq's neighbors for a lasting peace?

Bush may not like their policies, but Iran at least is a democracy, and like both Syria and Iraq are strongly Muslim!  Exactly What kind of lasting peace were they planning on without Iraq's neighbors involved?  Oh, of course, as Condi said in testimony yesterday.... none!

"It's bad policy to speculate on what you'll do if a plan fails when you're trying to make a plan work."

DOH! (This is where Homer Simpson then releases nuclear waste into the air.)
Outright lies and denial!
Condi refuses to answer if Bush plans on invading sovereign territory, and a few hours later we discover that Bush has done just that in a secret abduction of Iranians in the dead of night from sovereign Kurdish soil!

Well Bush did just inform us of his intentions last night, but to press so full steam ahead in the opposite direction of all professional advice???
Now they are even bombing us in Greece!

THis is madness!
Why worry about being a supplicant to foreign nations in respect of their sovereignty, when you can be a sycophant
(–noun
a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite.)
right here at home to the Reich wing?!

Peace requires diplomacy, and diplomacy must involve conversations with all parties involved!!! You cannot have a lasting peace without all involved parties invovled!!!

The Bush plan is devoid of diplomacy as defined in any political arena!
His actions are the actions of a  fascist dictatorship!
We must do something America.  The King is mad and his madness will take us all into hell!
