I'd like to take this time to preemtively congratulate George W. Bush on his reelection in 2005. It looks like Pat Robertson was right about divine (aka biased media) intervention assuring his reelection. You can see my previous diary entry where I theorized that Iowa wasn't really about the candidates, it was a referendum on the media's power.
So, in that vein they have proved their point. Dean has been utterly destroyed by all of the "too angry", "where's his wife?", "foot in mouth disease" propaganda. Contrary to those who say this is good for Dean, I say it's a bad sign. His grass roots support and all the enthusiasm he has generated has proven unable to overcome the negative media bias. I think he will flop in the other states as well.
We'll likely end up with media annointed Kerry as our nominee. Then the media will turn on him and ensure Bush's victory. I wonder if we'll ever see another Democratic president again? Most likely the Republicans will run the country into the ground before then. In the end we'll probably end up living in a feudal serfdom-- well, anyone who doesn't get out first that is.
Who knows, maybe the ignorant masses get what they deserve?
