Even More pics from today's March on Washington

For those of you who couldn't attend the United for Peace and Justice UFPJ March on Washington today, here are a few of the images I managed to capture before the event I call 'Death of a Camera.' I'm a little sad, but it was almost 5 years old, but I had hoped to get more than 5800 shots before its demise. Now, back to the show...

First, Credits:
I asked my roomie, hotChilepepper, to help me out today and her assistance was invaluable. Since my camera is old, so were both of my batteries. She found a guy in a Sat truck (the one with the 6' dishes) who was kind enough to charge the batts every hour. Next, thanks to Joe for charging the batts every hour. I would have been done before the Rally even started without the assist.

10:00 AM -- Before the Rally

We got off the Metro and headed straight for the Code Pink gathering

Which was directly across from the Pro-War Contingent

We then hung out with the Blogger contingent, but had to cut out to get our credentials.

11:00 AM -- On Stage

While some Speakers stayed in the VIP area, others were comfortable swimming into the middle of the media.

So there you go. This gives you a brief glimpse into today's events. I said something along the lines of "not too many groups," and hotChilepepper replied that "that was good, more regular people attended on their own." One 12 year old girl was kicking around ice with her sisters and I said "that has to be more fun that the March." She started to agree, the thought about it and came back with "Marching's fun too!"
