Well, I guess the uberpatriotic nutosphere is at it again. They have foolishly tried to claim that Senator Obama attended a radical madrassa (as a child). Who could forget the Jeff Greenfeld sendup of the satorial similarities between Obama and the Iranian president. Now it's the flag pin controversy.
Maybe I'm naieve but I'm surprised that this "non-issue" has gotten so much play. Since when did wearing a flag pin become de rigueur--yeah I know 9-11, 9-11, 9-11. Let's just say I'm tired of it--the car magnets, the flag pins, the pseudo hyperpatriotism. Give me a story where one of those pins stopped one of our soldiers from getting killed and I'll wear one. Supporting our troops would be better spent sending care boxes, donating air miles and buying calling cards. All things everyone can do without wearing it on their chest. I carry my America in my heart!. If you do too, freep this poll
